Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Java Technical Lead with 8–10 years of expertise in building scalable, high-performance applications using Core Java and Spring Boot. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who combines strong technical depth with proven experience in leading teams, managing projects, and delivering customer-facing solutions in an IT services environment.s a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust backend systems while ensuring adherence to best practices in software architecture, coding standards, and agile delivery. You will play a critical role in driving technical decisions, mentoring team members, and enabling efficient development through the integration of modern AI-assisted tools.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in object-oriented programming, data structures, and design patterns, along with a passion for writing clean, testable code using frameworks like JUnit and Mockito. You will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure successful project delivery and high customer satisfaction.
In addition to technical leadership, you will contribute to project planning, agile execution, and continuous improvement initiatives, while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and engineering excellence.
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable and high-performance applications using Core Java (8+) and Spring Boot
Define and enforce architecture standards, design patterns, and coding best practices across projects
Drive technical decision-making and provide solutions to complex engineering challenges
Lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and continuous skill development
Take end-to-end ownership of project delivery, including planning, execution, and timely releases
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Act as a primary point of contact for customers, ensuring effective communication and successful delivery outcomes
Implement and manage agile methodologies, ensuring smooth sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives
Ensure code quality through reviews, unit testing (JUnit, Mockito), and adherence to clean coding practices
Integrate and leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., code generation, code review assistants) to enhance productivity and developer experience
Identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, and proactively drive mitigation strategies
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization and innovation
Support hiring, onboarding, and building strong engineering teams for new and existing projects
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and ensure knowledge sharing within the team
What We’re Looking For
Experience 8 - 10 years
Expertise and experience in Core Java (8+) with experience in the Spring Boot framework
Strong fundamentals in OOPS, Data structures, Design patterns
Strong ability to write clean code and automated unit tests using frameworks such as JUnit, Mock, etc.
Ability to communicate and articulate clearly and work collaboratively in an agile team
An excellent communicator and leader
IT Services background
Has experience in leading new project teams
Has experience in project management and agile delivery processes
Has been customer facing and taken delivery responsibilities
Experience integrating AI-assisted development tools (e.g., code generation, code review assistants) into the software development lifecycle to improve efficiency and developer experience.
